Hi there! I'm Alissa. I've spent the last decade developing the right words to take products to market and make them successful. Most recently, I found language-market fit within the finserv industry at Hearsay Systems, where I led the product marketing team. My positioning helped land sales at some of the largest companies in the world – firms like State Farm, New York Life and UBS.
Before that, I found language-market fit at Hightail (acquired by OpenText) and BranchOut (acquired by 1-Page). And before moving to SF, I wrote words for television viewers. As a TV reporter in Lexington, Ky., I covered crime, college basketball, and yes... the not-so-occasional car accident. It was a different type of language-market fit, but it's always been about finding the sentences to package a story.
I grew up in the Midwest (Wisconsin, Indiana, and Kentucky) and studied journalism at Northwestern University. I love running, writing in my Five-Minute Journal and after a decade away from the piano... I recently started lessons again. Humbling.
